The new Subvert office
After two years of running Subvert from the second floor of Horwoods Mall in downtown Whitehorse, we decided some additional room and newer digs were in order.
Our office is now located in the Taku building, two blocks away from the previous location. The easiest way to find us is to enter the door to the right of Coast Mountain Sports and then head up the stairs (or take the elevator) to the second floor. Walk past the Davis office and through the door; we are to your immediate right.
As mentioned, we were seeking more space and newer surroundings. While Horwoods is in a terrific location next to the Yukon River, it's still an old building with almost zero airflow. Taku is the opposite. Built to LEED standards, the air is fresh and all furnishings are made of top-grade stuff.
We took this opportunity to start anew and planned our space on some basic requirements: we wanted whiteboards all around us, a spot to mount a big screen TV and a fresh colour scheme. As you'll see in the photos below, it's all there. Well, except the TV, but that's on order.
Our move-in date was a couple of weeks ago. After having some time to get settled, we're already appreciating the extra room and the chance to draw anywhere on our giant wall o' whiteboard.
If you're in the neighbourhood, feel free to drop by for a visit.

Andrew, it's not that bad in the winter, really. I'll even take you backcountry snowboarding. What a sacrifice, I know.
Scott, thanks! Yep, the new office is pretty darn fantastic.
Auntie Chris and Uncle Jack, you used "sick" right. You're so down with the youth of today, probably moreso than me.
Karen, yeah, we've got a few compliments on those Craftsman cabinets. Great for holding tools...and boxes of crackers.

Hi Geof
Pretty impressed by your new office. There is plenty of space for me to camp overnight. Especially like the bright atmosphere
and the new concept of white board on the walls.
Nice Hat !!
Good luck to you and Mike.

Grandy quite excited about your new place of business.
First question he asked "does he have enough insurance to cover all the equipment and is there security"?
He wishes you and Mike all the best in your business future.
